The Birds and the Bees

April.

Rory, my nephew's 40th birthday today. Helen & Al are off to London for his party and she has a CD of lots of his childhood photos to show at his party.I can just see him cringing!

Can’t believe it’s been so long since I last blogged. Must try to keep up to date.Enjoyed the luxury of three days away with Helen at Dunkeld House hotel and spa. Hotel situated on the banks of the Tay and the house itself is full of history. Lots of outdoor activities going on, but we gave these a miss (I wonder why?), althoughHelen said she would love to have a shot at quad biking! Passed Birnam (as in Macbeth) on way up. Lovely run round Loch Tay, taking in Aberfeldy ( didn't see the famous Birks), Kenmore and Killin.

During the hoidays, Jonathan stayed over a couple of times. He is great company, although he is only fourteen. We share lots of interests.Kay and family went to Glasgow for a few days and I enjoyed hearing about Kelvingrove Museum etc, but Robert was most impressed with the buffet breakfast! John has started doing the garden again, though sadly the daffodils are fading, but lots of other plants are springing up.

Loads of bees and ladybirds in the garden, but quite worried about not seeing many birds around They’re usually busy with their nests at this time, though I have seen a smart Mr Blackbird and his mate. Perhaps the cat is scaring them away! Had a great day at Dobbies with the girls and families.-they all loved following the ducks and their babies, the play area and of course -lunch!.

Haven’t been feeling too good lately, so the doctor put me on new medication, which knocked me for six a bit though I’m beginning to feel the benefit now. I’m afraid when I went to see him, he was so sympathetic, I just cried the whole time. It’s a good job Helen was with me.
