Nana Mouskouri

Friday, 5th December.

Just watched a lovely programme on BBC 4 about Nana Mouskouri. Really enjoyed it, mainly because John used to encourage me to learn lots of her songs. She always comes across as a really warm friendly person and I've always admired her ability to sing in so many different languages.

The doctor phoned again. I've to go to Longniddry to have a blood and urine test done to send to a rheumatologist! Sounds ominous! Not really, just making sure my own doctor is giving me the right medication. The rest of the day was the usual routine. Arthur came along to take me shopping and we had a blether and a cup of tea first. My new cleaner is very good and it was great to come back in from shopping and find everything spick and span.

Managed to write more cards and check my Christmas list, so I'm getting there. Next thing is getting all the Christmas stuff out of the cupboard. Think Margo's coming on Sunday, so she'll give me a hand. Kay is busy rehearsing for her concert on Sunday.
