Library and shopping

Tuesday, 23rd September.
Another gorgeous morning.Woke up about four a.m. again, read for a wee while, but decided to get up and check the last two answers for Helen. Lovely smell when I answered door for postman. Not the grass this time, but the delicious smell of baking from Ford’s!
Just ready to go out when Kay arrived. It was lovely to see her and she looked so bonnie. She’d been having her hair cut and it really suited her. We had a cup of tea and talked about her job of course. Sounds just right for her. She took me to library, then I did some shopping. Got another Bill Bryson book and ordered the one about Shakespeare.Erica’s going to copy the school Mag 1974. Her picture’s in it of course of course among the prefects with Bobby!
Met Margaret, my ex home help in store, so she gave me a lift home. Practised printing cards again on scrap paper. Can’t seem to get the inside message in proper place, but I'll try again tomorrow.
Tidied out cupboard in study and got all the photo discs together in a box. Gradually getting organised for the painter coming, though I think I’ll wait till after the October hols.I’ll get Stuart to help me sort out books on top shelf. Must get rid of the Spanish novels.Wonder if anyone in the Pans could read them? I’ll probably put them in Church sale -Free to a Good Home!
Margo phoned when she came home from school, then I phoned Arthur about recycling boxes, but he says there’s a strike on tomorrow.
As I’m typing this, Lucy is sitting right next to the keyboard watching me, She’s so funny. When I was preparing my meal she did the same, watching me all the time, now and again rubbing her head against my arm. Cupboard love of course!
