Cheerful visitors

Friday !9th October

Another gorgeous day. Helen came in. Going to optician to have Billy’s glasses repaired She found them in a drawer in his room, yet the staff at the home said they couldn’t find them. Each pair had a lens missing, so I was going to optician anyway with mine. Phoned Dick to say I wouldn’t be needing a lift..Kay phoned to say they were coming to make my tea at night..

Sandra popped in. Just back from Madrid with the Kevock choir. She told us about the great time she had with lots of laughs. Later enjoyed hearing about Sharon’s weekend in London at a haidresser’s show and also about her shopping.

Filled up some shelves in John’s room again, but kept finding wee notes. Seeing his handwriting like that just chokes me up.

Wonderful when bairns arrived though, giving me big hugs and chattering away. Gavin had brought toolbox to put up new valance rail in living room, so they went ahead with that and Kay hooked them up. I said it could have waited till I put the heavy curtains up for Christmas, but I must say the living room looks much better now. Helped Robert with a spelling game on toy computer Margo had left for him. He also got two Spiderman outfits. Douglas got a caddy full of golf clubs which were too small for Keir. He was so proud wheeling it up and down. Kay and I looked at the paperwork I had asked her about, so that’s all under control now.

Delicious lasagne and crusty bread for tea. Gavin laughed when I showed him photos of Rory and Ian’s wedding cake.He too loves Tunnock’s teacakes.

Another busy happy day.
