Hospital, shopping

Thursday 25th October.

Haven’t really caught up with my blog this week, as I’ve not been feeling well at all. My old problem, plus some new ones. After seeing consultant at hospital today, however and receiving some treatment I feel a bit better. Being out a bit helped too, even though I just sat in Helen’s car and she did some shopping for me. It means I won’t have much to do tomorrow. She is a real blessing to me and keeps me cheery into the bargain.

Found it quite interesting watching people going out and in shops at the Fort. Some were struggling with big items from Argos, which made me think about the materialistic age we live in. Do we really need all the gadgets which are around nowadays? Saying that, I’m a bit of a hypocrite as I don’t think I’d like to go back to using a washboard and wringer as I did fifty years ago!

Would have loved a browse round Borders, but was just desperate to get home and have a rest.
