Monday 1st October
Beautiful day. Bedding plants still blooming. Almost like summer in afternoon, with clouds of midges dancing about. Karen brought brown bin back in. Collection day changed to Wednesday ( same as recycling boxes). Sat in seat next to hut with my morning cuppa with Karen. Their garden is taking shape now. They’re trying to get it organised before winter sets in. Chris can’t come as she’s taking Cathie to hospital. Bobby phoned. Going to phone Craig to come with him to move furniture for painter.
Went for usual walk in afternoon.Chatted to Nettie and Isa. Called in to Dick’s. Joyce so pleased I’m going to theatre with them on Thursday to see “The Importance of Being Earnest. Going to Queen’s hall with Louise tomorrow to hear Michael Ondaatje (The English Patient). Sandra can’t go, so gave me her ticket. Hope I’m not overdoing things, but Louise says it will be quite a short talk and she'll drop me and go and park.
Margo phoned. Discussed her programmes for Assembly music up to Christmas. Looked out some songs and typed up words for overhead.Arthur came along. Had a good chat.. Catherine not very well.Balaclava nearly finished, but I think it’s going to be too small!
